Caterpillars Room

In our vibrant Toddlers' Room, we've created an exciting and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to learn and grow through the power of play. Our dedicated team takes great care in crafting a diverse range of engaging activities across various themed areas, including:

• The Construction Area: Where budding architects and builders can let their creativity shine
• The Small World Area is a place for imaginative exploration and storytelling adventures.
• The Messy Play Area: Featuring sand and water activities that promote sensory development and hands-on learning
• The Creative Area: A space for young artists to express themselves through various artistic mediums
• Imaginative role play is nurtured through the use of books, encouraging storytelling and character development.
• The Mark-Making Area: A foundation for early writing skills, allowing children to explore with writing tools
• Cosy Home Corner: A haven for imaginative play and quiet reflection
• In addition to these stimulating areas, we also have designated zones for mathematics, literacy, and technology, all of which actively support and encourage a child's early development.

Our well-structured daily routine includes engaging activities such as carpet time, music and movement, fitness, and adult-led sessions. These activities not only foster learning but also offer opportunities for children to form close connections with their designated key person during smaller group activities.

To ensure a smooth and comfortable transition, we plan visits and inductions as our toddlers approach their third birthday, easing their way into our Butterflies and Caterpillars preschool room and ensuring a seamless journey as they continue to grow and learn.
